5 months

I'm officially half way done with my pregnancy.  It's going by so fast and I can't wait for my little girl to come already!  I'm so glad we're having a girl because ALL of my friends have boys so she will be one of the only girls but I'm sure she won't mind.  We haven't settled on a name yet but we're thinking it's going to be Savannah. I love that name and it's not very common.  

I started my registries at a few places. I know it's early but my bestie Danielle and I went and we did it.  We have to go back and finish and prob start over and add things, but it was still fun doing it!  One thing that I registered for that I can't wait for her to try out is the Bright Starts Comfort and Harmony Bouncer. I've heard these are great!

I had my nieces over again and we went shopping for our nursery furniture.  We found the biggest bean bag and decided to rest on it.  I love having them come over.  It's always so much fun.  They even have helped me clean out our office and get it ready for it to become the nursery!

I went to the Playboy Mansion for their Kandyland party last Saturday and it was a blast.  It will be my last one for a while.  I still can't believe I went at 5 months prego!  Pics will not be posted of that, lol!

I LOVE Sushi

I absolutely love sushi and since I'm pregnant and I can't get my normal rolls, I've had to settle for different rolls like veggie and other ones.  We went to our fav sushi place called Momo's and I had the Corona Roll and it was soooo yummy!  I think they have the best sushi and we've got to know the owner and she is so nice.  They are always so nice to their customers and know everyone by name.  I can't wait til I can have my regular rolls again. p.s. Can you tell all I ever think about nowadays is food!

Soon to be Father

Since Blake isn't officially a father yet, I still decided to make him dinner.  It came out delicious!  Thanks Ina Garten. I love the foodnetwork and can watch it all day.  I get great ideas that are easy and simple to do and since I'm on break I don't mind cooking more often.  I really haven't been able to celebrate Father's Day since my dad passed away, but my family still gets together in his honor. We love and miss him everyday. 

 We also took the dogs to a park by our house.  They absolutely love any park we take them to, especially Kane. 

Finally Done!

I'm finally done with my masters!!  It was a 3 year program but well worth it.  Took my state test and passed.  Can't wait to start counseling.  It's sad what some kids go through and they have no one to talk to or help them with their problems and I'm glad I can be there to help them with that.

Cravings

I think I'm starting to get cravings.  They're not weird cravings, but when I want something I HAVE to have it!  Lately I've been eating tons of cereal.  I'll wake up at 3:30am to have a bowl.  I don't know why but cucumbers have been another thing I can't stop eating.  Pickles are another fav too.  Blake went shooting with some friends tonight and I'm making him stop at the store and get me some chocolate chip cookies so I can dunk them in milk, lol!  I feel like I'm eating a lot more now.  When I went to my drs. apt she said I'm finally starting to gain some weight. I only gained 2 pounds in my first trimester and now I'm up to 7 pound total and I'm 18 weeks along.  I don't know if other people felt like this but I'll just be watching t.v. or doing something when all of a sudden I feel like I'm starving.  It just hits me out of no where!  My dr. said to eat 6 small meals a day so I can try and gain more weight, but we'll see about that!  I'm still working out, walking, and running, so hopefully I won't balloon up with all of this eating I'm doing!!

A few visitors

My 4 nieces came to stay with me for a few days.  We had tons of fun!  Thank God my sister was here to help me with them.  We took them to the dog park, cosmic bowling, and swimming to name a few.  Blake left for a few days to my brother's house because he didn't want to be the only guy in the house.  We had a slumber party in my living room and I decided to take some pics of our sleeping arrangement.  I love having them over!  They're coming back in a few weeks and hopefully we can do this more often during the summer!

WE'RE HAVING A GIRL!!!

Went to Kaiser yesterday for a checkup and to find out the sex of the baby....unfortunately the baby was crossing its legs and we couldn't tell!  I couldn't wait any longer so my sister, nieces, and I went to the mall to Fetal Focus to see if the baby had uncrossed its legs.  It took a while, but with a little moving around the tech was able to see that it was a GIRL!  I'm soooo excited.  She said she was certain it was a girl.  I thought it was hard to tell, but my next appointment at Kaiser is in 2 weeks so I will get a confirmation there to make sure it's a girl or they might tell me different.  Either way, I will be happy finally finding out what I'm having so I can start shopping for the baby! Today I'm 18 weeks prego. Almost half way there. Seems to be taking forever but it'll be well worth it!

Lovin the time off

So I'm on my summer break enjoying time off, but there's nothing to do!  I'm done with my masters and not working so it gets a little boring!  I've gone to Glen Ivy, the beach, laid out, shopping, etc, but I'm still bored.  Hopefully when my nieces get out of school I can have them over more often and take them to the water park which is right by my house.  My other nieces are coming out this weekend to stay with us for a few days so that should be fun.

We find out the sex of the baby on Monday.  I'm super excited!  Blake, my sis, my bro, and I all think it's going to be a boy.  I would LOVE to have a girl because everyone has boys, but a boy would be cool too so when I do have a girl she has a big brother.  All of my other friends thinks it's going to be a girl.  The Chinese calendar thingy said a girl and so did the dangly necklace trick.  We'll see...either way, I'll be the happiest person ever!

Still no news on my teaching job.  No one in my district knows anything.  I secretly hope I don't get called back so I can stay at home.  Shhhhh, don't tell Blake!!

Summer Break!

So I only have one more day of work left and it's a minimum day!  Today at work we had our last staff meeting which was really a get together to say goodbye to us teachers who don't have jobs next year.  Anyway, my wonderful staff gave me a few baby items.  Since I'm only 4 months and don't know the sex yet, I got a $200 gift card to target, my FAVORITE place in the world! I also got my first official baby sleeper ( I think that's what you call it).

I am officially 4 months.  It seems to go by fast, but not fast enough. Getting all of this baby stuff is making it seem more real.  Here are my four month pics

 

Still don't know if I have a job yet (even though we settled).  Some of my friends have already got their jobs back which is great!  I won't know til mid June, but I'm looking forward to staying home with the baby until I eventually get called back in a year or so!   I also have my comps this Saturday, so this week is HECTIC to say the least!!  I can't wait until this week is over! 

13 weeks 1 day????

So last week my doc said I was 13 weeks which makes me 14 this week, but when I saw a midwife today she said I was 13 weeks and 1 day??  Can't they get it right por favor!  I went to have my physical done today and I wasn't suppose to get an ultrasound but my midwife decided to have one 'for fun' and it was the best one yet!!  No one went with me because I didn't think I was going to get an ultrasound, but that's ok!  The baby was moving like CRAZY and looked like it was waving.  She actually got a pic of it that I'll post below.  The pics aren't that clear...I wish they were much clearer but she said it's hard to get clear pics sometimes.  Tests results came back and the baby is PERFECT!  It was a relief to hear that.  My next appointment is in a month where it's the long one where they look at everything so that will be exciting! I've only gained 2 pounds so they gave me a pamphlet about gaining weight which I thought was pretty funny and said I won't feel the baby move til about 20 weeks since my muscles are tight.  I HOPE they are tight after I pop this baby out!!!  It sure looks and feels like I've gained way more than 2 pounds! 

So my district decided on an agreement but we keep hearing that it's not going to save teachers which is ridiculous because why did we even settle??  I got my final layoff notice yesterday so as of right now I don't have a job next year.  At least I can collect unemployment and stay home until I eventually get called back.  Staying home with my baby will be pretty cool since many moms can't do that.  On the other hand money will be tight so it's either I stay home with less money or work with a lot more money.  We'll see what happens but I'm sure God has a great plan for us.

14 week Belly

Here's my belly at 14 weeks.  Actually Tuesday is officially 14 weeks.  I do have a bump, but it's a weird thing....Some days it sticks out way further than other days.  Don't know why it does that (maybe gas) LOL!   Mish came over yesterday to take the pics before we went out to celebrate a friends bday.  She is so excited for EVERYTHING!

13 weeks

Today Blake, Michelle, and I went to get my NT (Nuchal translucency) ultrasound.  It tests for down syndrome and other things.  I had blood work last week and I just think all of this stuff is so stressful!  I'm sure the baby is perfect but it's still scary not knowing for sure.  Anyway, we got to see the baby's hand in his/her mouth.  It was also moving.  She was pushing in my stomach to make it move and the baby would react to it.  Michelle and Blake's face was so funny to watch.  I really couldn't see the monitor because I was laying down but I can watch their expressions. 

I'm finally starting to feel WAY better.  The fever is finally gone.  Still congested with a headache.  Sucks that I can't take any medicine! 

Here's a pic of today's ultrasound.  She only gave me two pics!  There were so many that she printed and TONS of cuter ones but only gave me 2.  It's not a clear pic either but you can still see how cute the baby is!  I had to go to Riverside today because of the type of machine they were using for the ultrasound.  It was cool because you can see the brain in this pic. 

Nausea=no bueno

I HATE, HATE, HATE feeling nauseous!  I only feel this way in the evenings, especially when I get home from work and do nothing.  If I go work out I feel perfectly fine.  Maybe it's my body trying to tell me to keep working out and not be lazy.  Hopefully it goes away soon.  I can't imagine having it for another 7 months! UGH

Next week I also go in for my NT ultra sound.  Praying that everything goes well.  These things are so scary sometimes!

On a brighter note, I'm already in my twelfth week of pregnancy.  It still doesn't seem real.  Maybe when I start showing more and feel the baby kicking it will.  I'm going to go next week and see if we can see the sex of the baby at Fetal Focus in the mall.  Hopefully they can tell!  I want to start shopping for stuff, especially if it's a girl, which I'm hoping it is.  They're outfits are so much cuter than the boys.  Blake says it's a boy, which I would love too, but girls just have TONS of cuter things!  Of course I don't care what I have, as long as the baby is healthy.

Some Pretty Cool News!

We found out that we're expecting our first baby in November!  The expected due date is Nov. 16th, but it's already been switched like 3 times. Today I'm officially 10 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I've always said that when I was pregnant and had kids that I would be a better blogger so hopefully I will follow through since I have something to write about now. 

SICKYPOO

Guess what....I'm sick AGAIN!  Surprise, Surprise.  I have tons of students who have been sick within the last few weeks and it was only a matter of time before I knew I would get it.  At least I'm sick now and hopefully not during Christmas.  Only a day and a half left of work then I'm off for 2 WEEKS!  YAY, can't wait. 

On another note, I only have 6 months left of my masters program!  It was a long 3 years but it will be well worth it in the long run.  I'm getting my masters in Guidance and Counseling at CSUSB.  I will also be receiving a PPS credential and that will give me the option to work at the district office if I chose to.  I chose this because I don't think I can teach forever.  This gives me tons of more options to work in the school system and possibly hospitals.
