There are many things that I like and dislike about teaching, but the one I hate the most is always getting sick!! I try everything to prevent it, but nothing is working. Airborne, washing hands ALL the time, drinking water all day, and still no results. I've never had a flu shot, so this may be the first year I get one. I've heard good and bad things about flu shots, but what could happen from it...I get sick again?? Any suggestions??
The ONE year that I actually got the flu shot, I got REALLY sick a few hours after the injection. I had a fever and felt TERRIBLE! SO, since then I have NEVER had one. I swear it was the shot that made me sick. I have friends though who swear by them. Swear they are the reason why they don't get sick. Then I have friends who get them and still get sick. I dunno. Maybe with the new version that will help prevent Swine flu we should get them. Let me know what you decide. Kids are just snotty and full of cooties and we're around em all day long!
ReplyDeleteI'm still skeptical about getting it, but this past year has been the worst! I've been sick sooo much. I was fine during the summer but I've already been sick twice since school started. I think I might try the shot and see how it goes.
